How does the School inform me of my child’s progress?
LGIS has a number of parent/teacher/student conferences where a 3-way dialogue gives a good indication as to how your child is performing. There are also semester reports and, depending on what part of the school your child is in, additional interim reports and access to our online reporting system.
Which universities do our graduates attend?
Our graduates go to universities around the world, with the UK and US being the most popular destinations. A full list of universities is available from our college counsellor.
What kind of international experience and qualifications do teachers at LGIS have?
Every teacher at LGIS has national teaching certifications and are qualified to teach specific subjects and year groups. Most have previously worked in International Schools but for a few, Dhaka will be their first international experience.

Play Group – Kindergarten 16, Primary 25, Secondary 18.
What curriculum does the School offer?
LGIS is an IB School and authorised to offer the 3 International Baccalaureate Programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and the Diploma Programme (DP).
What are examples of typical field trips?
Field trips are organised during the year and have identifiable academic objectives. Many are designed to give our students a global perspective and have included recent trips to Spain, Turkey, China, Malaysia and Thailand.
What languages are taught?
English, Bangla, French & Spanish are taught. Provision can be made for students in Grades 6 and above to study their Mother Tongue as a School-supported Self Study language.
